Dr. Hawkins is a sought after speaker and conference host, she was a regular contributor on Omaha Nebraska's 95.7 FM 'The Boss' radio station, the first Friday of every month for "Fit Friday with Dr. K. Hawkins, as well as Acquiring Vision's Facebook Group every Thursday of the month for "Therapeutic Thursday with Dr. K. Hawkins" before building her own platforms. Dr. Hawkins has appeared on several podcasts and has been interviewed for the Omaha World-Herald newspaper and KPAO Channel 22, a local tv station. Dr. Hawkins has also been a contributing writer for AfroSwag Magazine. She's engaged in the community, having sat on the Office of Inspector General's Advisory Committee, which offers solutions for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated persons.
